Is there anyway of knowing the set date soon? Will be in penn during Thanksgiving break and want to war before the year is over.

*edit, don't want to drive that far out in December though

The date is 11/28. All the info can be found below. Be there. :D

Like Joe said, Integrations, modded blasters, etc. are totally fine.

It's a Super Stock Class war... y'all better bring some heat.

Modded blasters = OK.

Full Auto = OK

We use Koosh, FVJ, whatever as long as it's .50 cal. and standard length.   (Just leave the home made blasters and stefans at home.)

I should be there with a +1, most likely.

I'll also have a few things for sale if anyone is interested.

And I'll be interested in buying some mags/drums, too.

The weather forecast is not perfect for Saturday, there might be a little bit of rain (currently forecasted: 50% chance of rain).

As of now, we're sticking with Saturday 11/28 and just keeping an eye on the weather.    Someone from our Facebook group has suggested a possible rain plan which is everyone meeting up at the original location and then traveling to the Core Creek State Park (covered) pavilion areas for the war.

WEATHER UPDATE:

It looks like the situation with the weather forecast has actually gotten a lot better.  There's less of a chance of rain (only 15%), and the forecasted high temperature has increased up to 59 degrees.  Wind (an important variable) is forecasted to be light from the North (3 to 5mph).

I wanted to mention to folks that I have some nerf related supplies, just in case anyone needs something in particular for a repair and or mod at the war.

*Nerf-sized screws (those small black screws that hold together your blaster):  Quantity = about 150  - These are FREE if anyone needs a few.

*Elite series stock springs from slingfire, EAT, Rampage (it's the same spring for all 3 blasters) Quantity = 4   - These are FREE if you have a mod to utilize them for, or I'll pay someone experienced to double-spring my Cycloneshock and Magnus blasters with them.

*Various blaster components that I cast aside for mods, such as a Rampage priming grip and Barrel tip, an Alpha Trooper stock catch plate, various bits and pieces from the slingfires. If you need any of this stuff for a mod just let me know.

And also I am selling a few of my blasters, I would like to simply get my cost of materials back on these...

2x Modified Elite Alpha Trooper blasters (OzNerfNerd 7kg kits installed) both the Blue and Orange versions.
2x Modified Zombie Strike Slingfire blasters (OzNerfNerd 7kg kits installed)

ok so yesterday was the war and i must say i had an absolutely incredible time. it was fantastic seeing people who ive met and havent met, i cant wait for the next event.

now for the pros and cons

-----Pros-----

- very nice location, pretty easy to work with and to use, can be used for different game types.

- thank god for picnic benches, this made collecting darts and holding all of the blasters and everything so much better.

- very fun rounds and alot of new game types were played

----cons------

- not gonna lie, i went up the wrong entrance. lol. thank you siri, but other than that, once i found it, it was ok.

- dart recovery was good, thank god wil brought a rake but yeah dart recovery was probably i wanna say 8/10 maybe 7/10

- the speed of the rounds was good but i wish we could have gotten more rounds in before we all packed up.

- that god damn stump, that thing took out a player and i know for a fact he will have a nasty bruise soon.

------verdict-------

overall the field was a good field, definitely could play there again but will always keep looking for more.

huge shoutout to wil for putting this altogether and for keeping shit running.

ps. shoutout to harrison for using the most creative euphimisms for curses ive ever heard.

hey Joe thanks for chiming in, it was definitely awesome to meet you and some more new faces that showed up to this war.  I agree with all of your points, and it was a shame that we couldn't fit in any more rounds because we did in fact skip a few games that some had lobbied for.  Oh well there's always next time!

I'm looking forward to checking out that other location that you mentioned as well!
