So first a little preface, this is my first integration ever. I decided to make a strayven which while not pretty was fairly simple, but then I decided to integrate the little air gun to give me a single shot "anti-blowgun" option as where I play (an indoor arena called dart warz) blowguns are King. So I read some mod guides and followed coops strayven guide, which is a bit harder without a bandsaw. Now for some reason the air tank isn't holding any pressure.

I pump it up and I can hear the piston in the tank sliding forward, not sealing, and sliding back in time with the stroke of the pump. So either the tanks screwed (it worked before modding), or the blast button isn't performing the role of one way valve. Suggestions on fixing the issue of at least isolating it? I'm praying the blast button isn't the issue, JB Weld sucks to remove. Pics as soon as I get to my comp.

Pumps OPV is plugged with hot glue.
Havent found a leak yet, about to use some soapy water to look for any.
All I did to the tank is cut down the front to remove the dart peg.

You plugged the Op valve? Did you air line tube pop off while pumping by chance? Some pics would help a bit, just to see what you are working with. I'm trying to picture the internals in my head, but it's been years since I opened up any air tank blasters and I'm drawing a blank.

Did you do any modifications to the pump? What have you done to the air max 1? It sounds like maybe your check valve is messed up, which would allow the pump to draw air back out when you extend it. You can search for other people with similar issues under 'Panther', Panthers are the same blaster, basically.

Don't use soapy water! Only regular clean water. Also, pump it up before you place it into the water. It sounds like you may not have used an airtight sealant on the connections. I like to use superglue, epoxy then goop in that order unless you are using barbed fittings then i would use either nothing, superglue or epoxy to attach. Those quick connect fittings are king but they are expensive as well.

No fittings. I used a new thing called bondic layer plastic on the end of the hoses till it was a tight fit and went crazy with the JB weld. Only fitting was a right angle piece out of an air max 6 to go from the back of the tank to the hose attached to the blast button.

Having worked on Buzz Bee back pressure air tanks quite a bit in the last few years, I can say that finding leaks can be troublesome. It doesn't sound like your tank is malfunctioning, and I have not know them to do that. Any amount of debris or dust in your blast button will cause it not to seal. A good first step would be to follow 2ndbluesbrother's technique of submerging the system and pressurizing it to find the leaks.

Ok so I found something other than the bath tub to test for leaks in and made sure the paints weren't going to be destroyed by being submerged. Found two so far, just waiting for it to dry so I can patch them. Why not soapy water? Should have just been a quick brush on and look for bubbles. Thanks for the help thus far y'all, stupid thing was driving me nuts!

Patched all the leaks I found, but it's still losing the seal in the tank when I pull on the pump for the next compression stroke. I think the blast button isn't performing it's job as a one way valve to prevent this issue so I'm going to try to put an inline one way valve between the pump and the blast button. I'll let y'all know how well it works once the parts are in and installed.
