some of you may remember my rambling AIM type speak of about one year ago regarding a nerf movie, for which i wrote an all upper case introduction script.

You gave him a year and me maybe 3 to no more than 5 months to clean my typing up some? Wow!!!!!

He wasnt made to leave for a year, he did it on his own I beleave.

Sorry to kick this whole thing over again, but you know, i thought you might want to hear from the man, and get another opinion. Basically, when i first joined NH, there was no code of conduct, there was no family tree saying who not to fuck with [which is pretty handy these days] and certainly no REAL developements.

I joined the site, began posting in a rather old nerf movie topic and wanted to get things going on the project again. I posted an introduction script, that although people liked, and thought was useful for the movie; it was posted entirely in upper case, and that's not something you can quite easily live down.

The movie died in the arse, i faded out, and a fair while later, standing in the shower, twigged, and ran downstairs to the computer to check out the old NH site again, and see what was happenning.

These days im working on my own movie. I'm trying not to let it die, and i have some local assistance [N3maN and Lech, and even TIG in the next state], so i hope it works out. The only main problem i'm coming across is time, guns, and actors.

NH is a strict group of "veteran" nerfers that over only one opinion, the right one. Since it's beginnings, people like myself have joined, and tarnished the image. CX wants to keep NH pure, and therefore doesnt care about member numbers. If someone is posting shit, they'll be banned. If you dont post shit, but dont post anything constructive, you'll be flamed.

Correct, there are several more powerful members in this forum. Again, that don't fuck with list is helpful.

This is just a general summary of what i have learned in my more sober and normal days on NH, and that of what other users have posted. Hope it was useful.

I got flammed like no other when I first joined. I argued on something that didn't really matter and I'm sure Vacc would have like to kick me off the board. I layed low for a little bit and here I am. Flamming doesn't mean you are banned from the Nerf community. It just means you're probably being a morron. We all are sometimes. If you want to go search some of my old posts there are a few pages of people just yelling at me. O well. We all get along now, and as far as I can tell, no one really hates me. (cue sarcasim)...

• show that you understand why people were ticked off at you
• make a genuine appology and promise to spend more time on your posts

Unfortunately, you're not capable of those two things. Everything you've posted in this thread has been colored by your defensiveness. You don't realize how bad your posts look - read them from the perspective of someone who's already irritated at you and you come across as a real ass.

Actually, I don't think he was being sarcastic, and ray probably wouldn't have taken it out even if jpshyboi9 had just said sorry.

Seriously dude, just stop. I'm reading this, and I'm reading the same .:Blue Ice:. I see every other week. It's getting old.

I'll reiterate the points other have made for you. Defensive mentalities get you nowhere on the internet community. People have no time for assholes who would rather argue than get to the point of something. That's exactly what your defense is, stalling, and trying to stretch a point into your favour when it cleary began, and will stay opposed to you.

I'll tell you something. Read "Holy Crap Stefan's Back". Read it a few times and gather all you can from it. Then read all the .:Blue Ice:./buckbogey topics, and learn from them aswell. The main parts are that the user constant defied the authority that was trying to help the user follow a new path to acceptance, rather than hated obscurity.

BI did the ultimate asshole stunt, and got a new user ID with a different IP, as to mock Cx. This doesn't go over well with anyone who tries to run a great, clean, impressive forum. Long, long, long story short, he was completely rediculed and banned from the NIC and from his ISP,a nd we will never forget the day he admitting to his assholishness. To this day we add him to every poll, just incase the the question can only be answered with the most negative of possible answers.

Just learn. I'm starting to think that after last time, you never learned, and you're back to being you. You may have to change your attitudes on the internet from what you normally are. You may have to pretend a little bit, like little kids like you tend to do. I remember how much you irritated me, and now you've done it to the entire community, it's not something to be proud of.

One final point: No, your apology wasn't sincere or good enough for us, in my opinion. Your typing has hardly improved, the only thing I notice is that you learned how to use capitols to begin sentences. I pride myself on my grammatical and typing skills, because I like to come across as an intelligent, genuine human being. You come across as a kid who wants to shit on someone's windshield because it's entertaining. You are shitting on NH's windshield in a sence. The first thing you see on a car coming at you is the windshield usually, and the first yhing you see on the forum index is the most recent posts. The shit on a windshield discourages from entering the car/looking at it. This topic and your posts are the shit on the forums, and it discourages people from reading further into the forums. Basically ruining a great reputation.

You may think you've cleaned up, but you haven't. You must try harder or accept that you need another break and take one. I don't like reading a NF topic to find that it is merely a flame war that is apparently never ending. I've played my part in keeping the topic going, but I also recognize that to flame, you must have purpose. My purpose was to explain to you the many angles of this senario, and give you a little push in the right direction. I don't want to needessly flame, I want to give out constructive critisism to you, so that you may learn and take my words into consideration.

Remember that on the internet, your avatar/name means nothing. Just as in life. The way you present yourself is what matters. In the world we dress, clean up, shave, repair the broken, and try to look nice for other people. We try to talk appropriately and act accordingly/behave appropriately for the given situation. Your posts are your clothing, and your attittudes, language, and grammar are that of what life normally encompasses. If you wouldn't do it in public, don't do it here, and you'll be better off.

I hope this helps everyone that is struggling with their stay at NH. It's grow up fast, or leave around here. Obey and be respected. Be respected and you've made something of yourself. It's a good feeling to be respected around here, because if you can gain the respect of someone that you don't even know, that's an accomplishment.

By the way, I have to point out that BW was once flamed here like few others have been. He put on his asbestos underwear, stuck it out, and I think has earned the respect of most of the community. He has certainly earned mine.
