To those who may not have heard yet, the longshot is back. Complete with front gun! The packaging I have seen online says it is a toys r us exclusive for the time being. With the "Elite" name added to it do we know what if anything has changed from the zombie strike repaint?

The longshot is arguably one of the best nerf blasters, so any re-release makes me happy. I'm gonna mod it anyway, so couldn't care less its stocks performance.
It's like a Hurricane ate a Tornado and shat out a Monsoon!!

Not arguing that fact, not much of a spring person as I prefer electronics but I'm sorta wanting to mod a longshot due to its capabilities. I'm wondering if they fixed the dart tooth issue, did nerf, well nerf the longshot? Are there any performance changes that may hinder the modability of this new elite version vs the zombie strike version.

What is the claimed range on this? I was looking for one to mod and If it has the same ranges as the original then I'd rather get the old one from someone on the forums.

They are the exact same as the old ones so old N-strike ranges (25-30ft).

Yeah, these new Longshots are not designated "Elite", so I don't expect that they will get better range. Which is silly. It would only require a better spring, I think. Maybe the other style of AR?

It is the same longshot as before for the same price as it used to be. If you want to save money get one from a member on NH or get the ZS one if it happens to be cheaper where you live. (Unless you REALLY need the frontgun and scope)

Yeah Droid has one that I want to buy but he isn't very active. It's a lot cheaper and he has a full one. I wanted to do a huge project for around $65 and need most for lights, motors, and paint. don't ask...It is the same longshot as before for the same price as it used to be. If you want to save money get one from a member on NH or get the ZS one if it happens to be cheaper where you live. (Unless you REALLY need the frontgun and scope)
