I have a bit of extra time on my hands and I frequent the forums all the time anyway, so I was wondering if another moderator on the boards is needed or would be appreciated.

The M&A team is pretty exclusive, and you usually have to have contributed ass loads of content over the course of a few years to even be slightly considered. There also isn't a huge volume of traffic, so new moderators are unlikely.
You'll need to spend lots of time with TED.
