Hey guys, we are back for another great NIC war in New England!

Date: Sunday October 18th, 2015

Location:
Edgerton Park, we will be playing in the new area on the lower part of the park. The staging area is on one side of a field under pine trees. We will have a variety of areas to play in from the woods to a field and an area with spaced trees.

75 Cliff St,
New Haven, CT
06511

Time: 10:00-4:30. Please be there on time. We will start warmup rounds as soon as we have enough for 3 vs 3.

Lunch: Please bring your own. We will probably also have two people leave the field and pick up pizza for the group. I would prefer to not have people leave the field to get food.

Rules:
Safety glasses must be worn at all times during rounds for participants.
Barrel taps ARE allowed.
Shields are NOT allowed.
Throwing darts IS allowed.
Not taking a hit will result in the player sitting out a round.
I or one of the other hosts has the right to spot ban over powered blasters.
All blasters must shoot on average less than 310 fps.

Dart restrictions:

#6, #8 slugs, and silicon domes only. Stock amo of any kind is also allowed.

Check list:

Lunch,
Snacks,
Lots of water, (gatorade is also good)
Blaster for a raffle.
Darts,
Two primaries, there is no guarantee of getting a loaner. Please bring all of the usable blasters you can. We can't stretch this enough.
Pistol for pistol rounds,
Money,
Sunscreen.

Game types:

We will be playing a good mix of game types.

Free hand darts is funny when it's a back up but shouldn't mean a primary. Other wise it's kinda silly,

What the fuck? Looks like a 4B party to me.

We have the ROF advantage than

I see we're doing the raffle, it's voluntarily right?

Point blanking is allowed within reason. You made a good point. I will edit first post. (NH is messing up formatting. This is my reply to Aeromech.)

It is the same fps as any war. 4Bs shoot harder than thread regulations. The 4B rampage hits around 310 fps. There will still be a verity of blasters just like any other war. No one bothers to not use full power in wars. We should have a chronograph so we can test stuff that I think exceeds that. Past NENOs haven't had blaster regulations. People will be using safe darts so I am not that concerned.

Late but I'm here to post a war recap

pros
-fun as fuck
-longass scary intense rounds
-Very fun,
-played all over the new area
-last minute rainbow upgrade
-hung out with ereyone

This recap is 1 and ½ weeks late……..so I guess this post will be more focus on my thoughts and experience in future NENO’s.

This was probably one to the best wars I have ever been too. Even though there were 5 people, it seemed that the rounds were more intense and much longer, especially with the spread out fields, fountains and woods. 2 people on a team meant that you could easily communicate, and that you’re more aware of what your teammate is doing.

The fountain probably was my favorite cover in terms of strategy and fun. It had the uphill advantage, and was so long it was hard to flank with 2 people on a team. The woods were fun as well; Van and I explored the new trails and stuff, check out his vids. Pistol rounds were great too, played in the wide field, and with rockets it was a blast (heh heh).

The area in general was a perfect setting for 3/15 style games, with wide cover, a clump of big trees, a fountain, and deep woods. However, it’s hard to know if a setting like that would actually work with something like a 7v7 3/15….but it was definitely fun with 2v2, or in one game 2v2v1 (DX is totally OP).

Games like pistol rounds need little to no cover to play effectively, carpe needs symmetrical sides, and CTF would be awkward since of the differences in field and cover….but once again 3/15 is the best.

I personally think that we should definitely have future NENO’s In the lower end of the park. Some pros and cons of 14

Pros
-Long, intense rounds (my personal preference)
-Smaller teams (another personal preference)
-Pistol rounds
-Firing rockets out of my Snap
-Getting Rob out with my rocket
-Fountain

Cons
-Cold weather (was snowing or some of it)
-ESLT
-Ran out of darts
-Had a fair amount of pedestrians and little kids, as well as concerned adults (about safety, darts, environmental health).

About the best Neno I ever had.

ESLT sucks.

Also the one day there's so many pedestrians (stupid dog lady)
