I recently did this mod after seeing the firestrike by Scaramanga and I thought I would try to make a really powerful single shot pistol. Heres how it turned out.

Posted Image
It has around 7.5 inches of cpvc as the barrel

Posted Image
It uses a breech to load darts (soon to be integrated stefan clip)

And it closes using a cpvc coupler.
I added 2 reflex springs along with the stock spring and this thing is powerful. When I shoot it down my street from the edge of my driveway (about the middle of my property) it goes past my neighbors house. My estamate would be 130ft average using elite darts, I don't have any #6 stefans at the moment but when I do I'll post my results.

Are those ranges angled cause I seriously doubt that your hitting 130 and also this should be in the modification pictures thread due to the fact that this isn't really a write up.I would love a write up of this blaster if it really does hit that hard.

I didnt do a write up because theres not much to it. I basically cut 2 lengths of cpvc and put a coupler in the pho barrel. Also it does hit those ranges but their tested with elites. I did try some modified ones and uber domes and they all hit the same range. Im not sure its 130 (just an estimate) but its definitally over 110.

This is a great idea! I have been attempting to find a way of making a breech for this blaster without success for quite a while now; I had never though of such a simple and elegant solution.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Did you use hotglue to seal the cpvc to the internals?

I recreated this "mod" by only using tape wrapped around the parts to get them to stay in. It requires a bit of fine tuning but I would say it is well worth it. Also, if you can get a replacement spring somewhere online, like I did, the Magnus becomes an absolute monster.

Just a bit of final advice: leave the built-in magazine inside the blaster so that you do not accidentally drop darts too far into the gun.
