Some people have been objecting to my choice of Newell park (wanting to do Highland instead, since that's the traditional SPANO location). Any thoughts?

I took the day off! Now I just gotta fix some of my shit so that it actually works. Any thoughts on a mod party during the week leading up to it? I'm usually pretty free Wednesday afternoons.

Beaver, have you nerfed at Highland since we switched which part of the park we use? The past few have been in that area between the parking lot and the street, it's actually a pretty good space for a large war like SPANO.

I'm really looking forward to this war. It is going to be HOT on Saturday so I urge everyone to bring excessive amounts of water. So that was fuckin awesome.

+Big thanks to Xellah and Chris for making a 12 hour drive to the war. I know what that's like from doing a couple east coast wars with Ryan, and it's definitely more than twice as harsh as a 6 hour drive.
+Also big thanks to Beaver for letting us destroy stay at his house
+And more thanks to SonReese for showing up with more mobstacles, sweet kiddie pool cores, and basically hosting the war.
+Also thanks to Xellah for telling us where to get colored tubes. We thought he was dyeing them, and were totally ready to buy them from him.
+Thanks to whoever made Newall park what it is. I felt like we had one of the best field set-ups I've experienced in my nerfn life.
+Big thanks to St Paul cops for driving by, looking at us, and not stopping.

-Silicone dome recovery was ~40%, suspiciously low compared to the ~80% recovery for everything else.
-My latest overcomplicated blowgun makes too many farting noises, doesn't shoot hard like a blowgun should.
-I still don't live in Beaver's basement with all of the tiny wizards.

This was the first war I attended in nearly a year, and every part was as great as Ryan hyped it up to be. Besides getting to see all the Nerfers I really missed seeing (Stark and Atomatron and Venom and SonReese and special guest VIPs CK and Xellah) the actual Nerfing was pretty on-point. I'm also still acclimating myself to the tighter-quarter Midwest wars where I don't actually need an airgun, so that's been an interesting transition. Probably won't ever happen tho.

Can't wait for the next one.

What a great war! There has yet to be a lackluster SPANO, and this one was no exception.

+Seeing Ryan, Kelvin, and Kane for a second time this summer.
+Meeting Xellah and Chris. Great guys, it's a shame the 12 hour drive means we probably won't have them back for a while.
