Question One:Exactly what brand/type of paint do I want for painting a blaster?

Question Two:What is a place I can buy aftermarket springs for a nerf blaster? Specifically a place with a huge variety of spring for a huge variety of blasters.

You're being kind of vague. I will do my best:

For paints, follow Coop's guide, Vinyl dye primer followed by colors with a clear coat. Commonly used paint for nerf is Citadel.

I know Orange Mod works used to be the go-to for nerf springs and such, but I would do your research before purchasing. I personally have never bought from there but I've heard they have gone downhill over the years.

Don't go out and buy Citadel paints. If you already have them - use them. They work great. But they are incredibly expensive for the amount of paint you get and the pots don't seal very well, so in a couple of years you will have a pot full of useless rubber.

Liquitex brand paints can be gotten at any craft store and even some Walmarts. They are high quality for a reasonable price and come in a huge variety of colors.

Rustoleum Crystal Clear enamel is my go to clear coat. Don't by any of the "2X" cans, even though it seems like your getting more for the money, which you technically are, the paint has always come out splotchy for me, even after shaking for several minutes.

There are a few sellers on ebay in the US that sell springs. Just search "[name of your blaster] spring" and you should find at least a few. I know certain springs are also compatible with other blasters ie: elite springs wotrk in stampedes and nitefinders, recon spring works in a longstrike etc...

I was actually about to suggest the 2X. It's become my go-to base coat, because of superb coverage and even tone. Rave, what are your environmental conditions like? ...

I used the 2X Rustoleum American Accents metallic silver just a few days ago. It was a little windy, but not too humid, not to dry. Somewhere in the 65-75 degree temp range. I usually paint in those same conditions and all different kinds of spray cans work for me except the 2X stuff. It just seems to come out... speckle-ish... I've only used the aqua blue and different clear coats though. What kind did you use for a base that worked for you?

Without knowing your country I can only guess, as shipping varies incredibly across imaginary postal borders. McMaster Carr is a sprawling online hardware store (for lack of better description) that stocks a very respectable range of springs for bargain prices. living in Australia as I do, I'm still planning on buying a bulk lot from them in the near future.

The [k26] springs thereby stocked are simply amazing and can be cut to length. A very large and experienced portion of NerfHaven utilises their qualities to great success. The only downside is postage (If you don't live in North America).

As for paints I have no clue. I'm more of a performance over pretty kind of guy. Creativity extends as far as black paint for me.
