I am unaware of any hardware store springs that you can simply swap in.

However you may be able to make use of a "power stock" such as this one: http://nerfhaven.com...showtopic=10722

(Note: you don't actually need a recon stock or anything like that)

Reinforcements are probably preferred with any srping addition/replacement.

You can make a power stock with a ace #49 spring, a 1/2inch pvc end cap, and a recon stock. Just cut the end off of the black cap on the back of the blaster. Then drop the #49 spring in and stick the 1/2inch end cap on the back of the spring and attach the recon stock. You may want to glue the end cap to the stock. You may also have to replace the catch spring and there is always the risk with reverse plunger blasters of the end of the plunger breaking. Another simple mod you can do is drill out the AR. Then cut the bold in half just before it get bigger towards the o ring. Then drill out both sides with a number of different drill bits until a piece of 17/32 brass fits snugly. Then glue it all back together and there ya go. (I did these same mods to a recon and it got better ranges then my massacre kit, but the massacre kit is still more reliable).
