Okay, recently I found that one of the plastic pieces that has the threads on the end of the PC airtank snapped off. It happened to be the one for the pump tubing to attach too. Obviously because of this my powerclip does not work and I would like any sudgestions (sp?) for how to fix it or buid a new air tank or anything that would help at all. Also at the time I was dumb enough to through away the little piece that snapped off so gluing/ appoxying is not a choice. What I really nead is just to mold another one that doesn't have the broken off piece but I don't quite have the skills for that.

Here are some pics of the broken one:

Maybe you could put a hose clamp were that piece used to go on. it would have to be pretty tight though.

Okay so I've already fixed that problem but then I broke another part of the tank so I was wondering I anyone had made a homemade Powerclip air tank? Thanks.

  • Another O-ring

I just plugged mine up, modded the release valve to fit a small schrader valve for air input, and fed a small tire pump to that. But I'm wondering, what part of the PC tank did you bust in the repair? If you pierced the rubber tank itself, Doom and others have some good suggestions.

If it's just one of the plastic caps, I'd suggest you just get a 1/2" CPVC endcap, use an exacto or curved hobby knife blade to score little ridges in the pre-smoothed side (if the side has ridge designs or something silly like that), facing open to the direction pressure would force it out (you know, the intelligent way), toss on some duct tape (vain attempt to prevent metal cutting into the rubber), then hose clamp the sucker. If it's the end with the two tubes feeding out, drill two holes about 7/16" or smaller, feed in some 1/4" OD flexible PVC tubing (vinyl, whatever), and Goop it all in. Same goes for the connections to the trigger and pump. I have this going on my Wildfire due to a splintered forward/air release clamp, and it works just fine assuming you don't nuke it with more pressure than the initial release valve would take.

If it's just the tubing, replace it with 1/4" OD flexible PVC [Vinyl] tubing, and Goop or epoxy it in.

Don't give up yet!

Meanwhile Alex, you used the O-rings to ensure proper sealing on both sides, or in some other intricate way? My understanding of pressure would place those O-rings centrally as filler with any applicable repair for that type of break, so I'm not sure of your application.

I was at my local Lowes and I saw these air bladder things you use to clear drain clogs, and I thought it might work as a replacement.

These have all been great suggestions but I'm looking for something along the lines of the beast because I've made the PC into a pistol and am not using the original clips. My main question is how to attach the tubing to a cylinder of pvc that big because the tubing is pretty small? Who made the original one and are there any pics anywhere?

Thanks, and I'll get pics up once I've finished If I can figure out this air tank.

Also does anybody now the psi I could pump it up too without blowing the valve.

Okay thanks for all the ideas, after buying some tubing and some extremely nice hose-clamps I think I have the solution. Also I've painted the pistolized shell (no clip anymore) and made an attachment for the pump on the side with velcro. All n all I'm really happy with it and will be posting pics of the internals and the outsides soon.

thanks again for all your suggestions, I've brought a gun back to life! :w00t:

edit: here are the pics, the barrel is just untill I pick up some brass, enjoy!
