Greetings NIC,

So, many of you have probably seen many NoM's BBUMB Longstrike, and, as everyone thought after they saw the videos for that, I'd like to build one of those. However, instead of using a BBUMB tank, I'd like to use a Blastzooka tank. There would be less shell cutting, and I could still use the clip system if I did it right. The blaster I'd be looking more towards is the one that was made by Derek's Mod Center.

Now, I have a couple of problems at the moment.
1. I don't quite know what materials would be necessary for this build.
2. I also don't know how he built his.

I'm not sure if this is a post I can make on this forum, but I would appreciate any possible help.

Well, as for materials you would need brass for the breech( 17/32 and 9/16 usually) and some way to secure the tank to the shell. As for the building part, it isn't very hard. I can't tell you exactly how to make it, you kind of need to figure that out on your own.

Cut/dremel all of the internal supports for the stock internals until you are able to close the shell around the blastzooka tank. Ideally, have the stock blastzooka barrel match up with where the stock breech was.

Make room for the pump to come out the back

Figure out how to make the stock trigger hit the blast button on the blastzooka tank (you may need some sort of sheet plastic such as PVC or polycarbonate for this) or attach a separate blast button like what is described in this mod.
Glue the tank into the blaster (or figure out some non-permanent attachment system...polycarbonate brackets if you want to be really fancy, or maybe use epoxy putty to form a sort of cradle).

All of the aforementioned references are found in our Modification Directory, by the way...you may want to look there or search the rest of the forum for other "air tank in a new shell" modifications for even more ideas.

I, uh, kinda know that. Guess I forgot to mention that that was the video I was more like "I could do that" with. Unfortunately that video doesn't really talk on how he built the thing, or if it does, it does so very briefly.

And, yeah, probably could have just spent more time looking around, but I do appreciate that some people helped out.

Actually I found that he did talk fairly extensively about it and even included internal pictures. Aside from someone else (or even just Derek) posting a step-by-step writeup, that's pretty much the best you're going to get.

Just pause the video where he shows what he dremeled internally and compare your stock longstrike to that, checking the the fit on your blastzooka tank every once in a while to make sure you aren't missing something (dremeling too much or too little)

FYI: Please try not to post twice in a row; it makes the forum more readable if you just do one post and then respond to everyone there. You can edit your post if necessary, and you don't necessarily have to quote the entire post you are replying to...you can trim the quote down, or just delete the whole quote and say:
"Jwasko: Thanks for the help!"
