I am going to modify my stryfe and have no intentions of purchasing ultrafires, imr, etc... I want to use RM2 motors from Solarbotics which are good motors, but have some durability issues. I was on their website and saw item number 1117. ( https://www.pololu.com/product/1117 ). These motors are the exact same size as the RM2's, but they're recommended voltage is 6 volts, instead of the 4.5 of the RM2's. I was just wondering if these motor s are going to be any better or more durable than the RM2's. If anyone that understands all the specifications and that stuff and is willing to enlighten me, it would be greatly appreciated.

No. 11500 rpm is way slow for what we do. Durability is basically impossible to tell without testing.

This is what I ended up doing with my stryfe and it is freaking awesome. I got this battery and charger. With these motors. This thing is amazing!!

Over twice that. 11500 rpm*1.25in diameter flywheel*π*(1ft/12in)*(1min/60sec)=63fps. The edge of the flywheel is traveling at 63 feet per second on those motors, so with no dart slip and no loss of speed when firing or anything like that (both of which are present in copious amounts in reality) you top out at 63 feet per second muzzle velocity with those motors.

Rev times are super fast, I have never used a lipo, but it is faster than my buddies raven that has a lipo. I sold this styfe to a friend so ignore the martial arts stuff because he took the video at work. Firing Video

Well, it's certainly just as loud as a 7.4v lipo.

The main reason I went with the NiMH was for safety since the blaster was for someone else. Also for my self I ended up getting this charger just because I now have 5 of these of these batteries ( I ordered 3 and they sent 5 for the price of 3!!!). I use them in a Rapidstrike and my stryfe and rayven and they work great.

As for the noise, Noise=Power right?

Just stock batteries. These were WAYYYY louder than rm2's and my friends who just played with stock blasters called it the "OP Stryfe". I realize 180's are better but at the time, I didn't know of them and the shipping on these for me was a lot but for you guys in United States (im in canada), these are ~100 fps motors. Try doing a carbon mod to them. they rev up faster than RM2's as well BTW because I hated how slow the RM2's revved up.
