Hey NIC,

I was just monkeying around with my blasters and blaster-parts, and I came to a revelation: the pump-grip on the Alpha Trooper/Elite Alpha Trooper is extremely uncomfortable.

If you think you've already read this on Nothin' Foam, you probably have.

OK, what did I do to my EAT?

Quite simple: I took the pump-grip from a LongShot front-gun and duct-taped it on. Now, my EAT has a diagonal fore-grip.

Crude? Yes.
Ugly? Maybe.
Comfortable? Extremely!
Good idea? Definitely!

I'm not sure if this really qualifies as a modification, since I'm just duct-taping spare parts onto my blaster.

What do you think? Good? Bad? Ugly?

If you're looking for a slightly more refined way to customize your grips and add that extra factor of comport and luxury I recommend rubberizing them.

PVC, styrene sheet, large amounts of epoxy putty, etc. I mean, it really doesn't take much effort.

Neither does this guy's mod, and his is faster than any of those options. Durability though...

Also would grey tape work better?

I don't know about colour. Blue tape would probably be best.
The tape does two jobs. 1, it holds the grip on. 2, it's really what makes this so comfortable.

Gut the electronics, drill a hole in the shell, and attach a crank to the gear. Bam, crank-action stampede that doesn't require batteries, or even a trigger.

...(also judging by your past posts, I would consider you pretty dang wise elder like in the modding community )
