I don't know if anybody has this answered somewhere, but I need help getting my Airjet Power Secret Shot 2 to use Micro-caliber darts. I am using an AT bolt-sled as a stopgap measure, but I want to be able to use both barrels. For those of you who don't recognize the name, I've included a pic of the blaster.

The blaster uses old-size Mega darts, which are smaller than modern Mega darts, and I need help getting this rechambered. The few guides I've found hither and yon have no pix included, just text. I need pix!

Because mega barrels are 5/8" wide, rebarrelling mega blasters to use micro darts can be as simple are gluing a section of 1/2" CPVC in place. Other good options include polyester or butyrate tubings from McMaster-Carr, which are both available with 1/2" ID, 5/8" OD. You can also use a narrower tubing like PETG, Lee's aquarium, or brass, with a spacer to make up the difference. Historically, we have simply wrapped the tubing in electrical tape to maintain a good centering position, then glued it in place. If you choose Lee's tubing, it is available in 9/16" OD size (1/2" ID), and 5/8" size (9/16" ID), which nest together well. Of course, you can do the same with brass, but then it requires like four different sizes of tube.

Just a heads up, these tanks are notoriously cranky and leak prone - especially if you plug/swap the pump and over pressure them.

Now, if you want something completely removable and reusable, I simply put a hole in the back of an old crayola-styled marker, and it will press fit in most of those old barrels, I think I had to wrap a layer of paper towel over it on my ssII. if it does have restrictors, the edges of the marker will trip them. it pulls right out to the point that I've interchanged between both gauges in a war. I've done this for a defender, transformers blasters, a max force rattler, and just about any other old blaster I want to leave stock.

Just a low-tech, wacky-simple idea.

The only thing worse than stupid is lazy, at least an idiot will try. And its usually entertaining.
