Hey guys, sorry if I asked a question that was discussed before. Can't seem to find any topics.
Let's get to it.

My conditions :
1. 130 size motors (hassle-free so I don't need to cut the shell) so I just fit them in the flywheel cage.
2. Tamiya motors - To be precise. I have a lot of Tamiya retailers around me and I want to see which motors are best for the Stryfe and have reasonable price and RPM.
3. Do I have to reduce voltage after I upgrade these motors? (I'm afraid they'll burn out) I am currently running these on 4 Ultrafires - roughly 16volts.

Here are a list to decide : (I don't know whether all of these are 130 size motors)
Most motors need 2.4v-3v.
1. Hyper Dash 3 - RPM: 17,200-21,200, Price - $5.50
2. Light Dash - RPM: 14600-17800, Price - $5.10
3. Sprint Dash - RPM: 20700-27200, Price - $5.80
4. Plasma Dash - RPM: 25000-28000, Price - $13.50 (Super Expensive TT)

Also, this is about the flywheel shell.
I want to get good grip on the darts but I'm gonna need help.
I don't have Plasti-Dip. I have Duct tape and E-tape.
Duct tape or E-tape? Choose 1 please and tell me how many rolls I should tape.

Let me know which is best for my Stryfe. Thanks a lot for reading :)

In terms of your batteries, 4 trustfires are way too much for any of these motors. I would recommend using 3 and a dummy battery. Then I would use the sprint dash motors because you seem to get the best performance for the amount of money. I use electrical tape on my flywheels. I usually put 2-3 wraps (making sure the wrap direction is the opposite direction that the flywheel is spinning). Then I cut off the excess on the side with on x-acto blade.

3-4 ultrafires is too much voltage and not enough current and will shorten the life of the motor. Run it on 1s IMR / Lipo, or a 3 or 4s NMH pack.

Also, unless someone posts chronograph numbers after coating the flywheels, I wouldn't mess with it at all. Anything you put on them will increase their weight which will increase the time it takes to spin up the motors. It will also decrease battery life from the increased load and will increase the amount of heat being generated in the motor which will shorten the life of the motor.

the op could run 3 in parallel to increase the amperage and capacity that could be pulled from the cells.
