I discovered (though I DO NOT claim to have invented) a technique for adding springs to a plunger rod with a permanently affixed head.
Here's a quick video:
Gut the electronics, drill a hole in the shell, and attach a crank to the gear. Bam, crank-action stampede that doesn't require batteries, or even a trigger.
...(also judging by your past posts, I would consider you pretty dang wise elder like in the modding community )

This method has been around since people started modifying blasters, please don't attribute absolutely everything to your mythical YouTube god. According to that logic, he invented Silicone grease, and teflon tape, and Epoxy putty, and paintjobs!

There's a Beaver quote about owning idea's around here somewhere...

This post was meant to be helpful if not a little sarcastic to all of you "seasoned" nerfers. Even though now I think this is common knowledge, I would've wanted this video six months ago, so I thought it might be funny to present it like a discovery here- Its a quick laugh for the non-noobs but a "quick tip" for the noobs. Or honestly anyone in need of the info, youtube or not it's still a legitimate answer to a legitimate question anyone could have regardless of "noob" status.
