Hey Guys, I have a question. I am planning on purchasing the Nerf N-Strike Elite Stryfe (the regular one) and I have several questions.

1. Is the flywheel noisy? I have never in my life used a flywheel blaster before because I didn't want to go through the fuss of buying batteries. So for a try, I think the Stryfe is a good and affordable choice.

2. I watched one of the reviews on this Nerf blaster and they said that some N-Strike Clips (old ones before the Elite line was even released) don't actually work (or fire) on the Stryfe. Now the problem is I have a ton of N-strike Clips and I don't have any Elite clips or blasters.(Yes I am late to the party lol) anyways, I am worried that this is true, because this is a serious issue and in fact my first Elite blaster and first flywheel blaster that I'll own. So to all of you who actually have the Stryfe and old N-Strike Clips, if you would do me a favor and load them all and try them all or you already have done so, please let me know as soon as possible because I'll be getting one soon.

3. Does it fire Streamline darts? I have a lot of Streamlines and like only 30 elites, so far. So if you have tried firing them (of course, I know elites are much better in range, but I just want to fire them off to buy elites lol) please let me know as well.

4.Any difference in the "XD"Stryfe and the Normal Stryfe one? I was told they don't and even some people say that they are true in springers but what about flywheels?

5. Do they consume a lot of power? Are they "battery-friendly"? Do I need to regularly change batteries?

1. Yes, the flywheels are noisy when batteries upgraded, however this can be remedied.
2. All n-strike clips work in this blaster.
3. Elites, streamlines, glow darts, z-strike, as long as they have the same head they will work.
4. There is no difference in internals, only cosmetics.
5. Consuming more power is good, because that power is put into performance of the blaster. Get a rechargeable battery source for sure.

1. They're all noisy. Some less than others. This can be dealt with in various ways. Just be clever.

2. I think this is due to the magazine-sensor. Go ahead and remove that lock (and any others you want to).

3. It does. They're not very accurate, of course. A friend of mine uses TaoBao (I think?) darts, which have heavier heads without holes in them, far better in terms of accuracy and a lot cheaper than stock darts.

4. I'm not sure. Most people seem to change out battery types and motors right away for serious builds. If you're playing against casuals, I don't think it entirely matters. Either way, there's no cost difference, so just get the one with the pretty colors.

5. I don't think so. Depends on how careful you are with the rev-trigger. Again, battery type is important here. If you're worried (but a total skinflint), then get rechargeables.

all of my "old" n-strike clips work in my stryfe with the locks removed, but a have not tried them without the locks removed(i removed the locks before I tried out the clips in the blaster)

the difference in the flywheel XD vs just the elite was a new flywheel cage with the wheels a few mm closer together to give them a better grip on the dart.

I tried the older n-stike mags in my Stryfe before I took the locks out and it was a disaster. I would have to hit the mag between each shot to try to get it to feed and ended up just getting another blaster that would accept the n-strike mags. The problem comes from a small lock that exists at the top of the blaster and blocks the plunger from extending forward. This lock does not have any electronic switches to interface with and removal will not incapacitate the blaster. As for darts, it will run elite and streamline darts or any aftermarket darts that have the same style head, including the "koosh" darts. The Stryfe is a good blaster once the top mag lock is removed and I would have no problems using one as a primary or secondary.

1. Not really, if you find them loud you will get used to it.
2. I have never experienced this problem, or heard of it.
3. Yes.

5. I recharge mine after 2-3 hours of constant Nerfing.

just buy the stryfe they are the best flywheel baster without dolubt.

1: smooth trigger pull
2: good ranges
3: easy wiring with minimal effort to re-wire
4: cheap
5: no barrel to reduce ranges
6: light manoeuvrable and easy to customize

trust me you won't be disappointed they are by far my favourite flywheel to play around with. I run one on 2s 7.4v lipo reqired and it is pretty impressive and not very noisy. 3s 11.4v is just insane for ranges but is very loud and will eat your motors if your using proper lipo packs and not just trustfires.
