I'm running my stock demolisher on 3 14500 IMRs. If it revs for more than 3 seconds, it gets crazy loud and starts smelling like smoke. Is this supposed to happen? Will my motors burn out? What is the suggested setup?

Yeah correct me if I am wrong but thats 11.1 V you are running it on? At that high you will burn through stock motors pretty easy. Also you may run into issues where it shuts down due to the regulator inside. I recommend looking at the stryfe/demo guides on here and rewiring it/ upgrading your motors (180s are pretty standard).

Since the Demolisher is stock, there are thermistors inside. This is what is most likely causing the smell of smoke, as they use up current to turn it into heat. It's probably a good idea to rewire the inside so you can remove those, or your motors may burn out with continued use.
Realistically my name is Tobias, but you can just call me Toby.
