I am ordering some things on amazon and was wondering if this polycarbonate sheet will work with nerf guns. I will most likely be buying it for a Rainbow Catch. The thickness ranges from .03" to .236" I'm guessing I should buy the .236". It is $11 for a 12'x12' sheet.
The 5 questions I have are.
Is this the right material?
Has anyone bought this before?
Is .236 the correct thickness?
Is $11 a reasonable price?
Will a 12'x12' sheet be enough to make a rainbow catch or 2?\
I will most likely purchase it and be a tester if no one else has and everything else checks out.
Edit: There is also this which is only slightly more expensive and has more sizing options.

In no particular order...

Rainbow catches require polycarbonate of 1/4" thickness to withstand the forces of the plunger rod and spring, as well as to allow the catch to be screwed into the blaster body. This one is only 0.030 inches thickness, far too thin.

If you select the .236 thick option, you will be pushing it a bit, but it should work if you're careful about your screw placement. Try to get 0.25 or thicker.

With a 12 x 12 inch sheet you could make 6 or 7 rainbow catches.

Lexan is the common name for polycarbonate. So yes, the material is correct. Just ensure the dimensions are also what you want.

Thanks. I ordered the 1/4" thick sheet from the second link (I have never made a rainbow before so I'd rather have more room for error). I will update when I actually make the rainbow (might be a bit).

I ordered PC on amazon once; 12x12x1/4", I got it cheap under the 'new/used' category, and they sent me acrylic instead, which is weaker then PC and brittle.
