I congratulate you for attempting a nerf site, but there are many things you could do to make it better. For now, try using JPEG's instead of Bitmaps for your images. People don't like websites whose homepages take forever to load.

It's profesional because it's Freewebs.
Watch out, because you have limited space.
Otherwise, okay site, could use JPG images, and more content.

Yes, it is a freewebs template. I might buy more memory for my site. It's only $1.30 per month for unlimited pages and words.

My pics really make the site download slow. I changed that.

You know what's really cool, but takes up a lot of space? Chromeless scripts. :D Basically, you have a link that opens up a new window. The new window is fully customized, including size, position, buttons, (All the bars are gone, except the title bar. - customized by you). However, it takes up some space, and is quite unnecessary...ah well. I like it. If the circle thing to the right wasn't a template, I would have told you to turn those blank black spots into the menu buttons, but oh well. Once you turn your pictures to jpgs or gifs, (jpgs have popup buttons on windows xp....it's really annoying), you should take pictures for most of your catagories, such as your mods, your arsenal. You can have a friend take pictures of your games and your tactics during your wars.

Keep working on it, and it will be very nice.

Oh pa-lease ... It takes you well less than a line of code to disable it and they're you go. It's called the My Image Toolbar and i'll send you the script, or you can simply google it and find it MUCH quicker. Oh, and its not just XP alone... It's 98SE and i'm guessing ME and 2000 etc.

Heh, i knew that was a template, that's a bit sad that i knew :D

I like your use of squared off title bars and everything though, it's uber ... even if it isn't yours ...

How exactly does opening a new de-chromed window take up space? It saves space on the desktop, and the scripts can't be more than a kb worth of ascii. Please enlighten me.

You can turn off the idiot bar you know. You can also tell it to stop resizing your images for you. And it's not XP, it's IE. I'm running Firefox on XP and I can assure you I have no idiot bar on my images.

I dunno, the script I used (this was a long time ago) took up a big portion of my space. I used one of those cheap free accounts that you can get online...
Then again, this was a long time ago, and things have probably gotten a lot better by now. I didn't mean physically take up space on the screen. I think I meant that it takes up more space then a regular web page,(duh) and I don't know whether people think it's worth spending time and space just to open up a new window that will display the same information. The fact that it's fully customizable, and can look cool, is what appealed to me.

Cx, you have a lot more experience in web programming than I do, so if you don't think it takes up a lot of space, then I'm wrong.

[EDIT] Renegade, I think that microbials.com used to provide a chromeless script/window thing. I don't know about it anymore. I think they changed what they did or whatever, it's been a while.[/EDIT]
