[font="Times New Roman"]Hey everyone, I have been nerfing for a while now, but usually smaller wars with my friends and my brothers, etc. On youtube i follow a number of nerfers that are a very big part of the community, but they all live in the Southeast. I live in the suburbs just outside of the heart of Los Angeles, and am interested in becoming a part of the major nerf wars. I noticed that there are a few nerf wars in CA listed in the "2014 nerf war" list in top articles, but all I would like to know (and please be nice to me, this is my first post and am just trying to get used to Nerfhaven) is how big is the nerf community in LA? and also, is it growing or diminishing? Thanks!

The L.A. region has one of the more significant Nerfing Communities in the country. S.C.U.N. has some extremely well attended wars - including "Armageddon" - the second biggest annual war in the nation. You're very fortunate to live there. I'm in utah and have on multiple years driven 20 hours (round trip) just to war with the fine folks of S.C.U.N.

If memory serves - they even have their own forum... or at least did at one point in time. I'm not sure if that's where they still hang out, but you will see some SoCal nerfers here from time to time. Baghead, or Apollo will probably fill you in a little more if you message them.

I thought you meant LA Louisiana, and that I wasn't alone anymore. :(
But ya, I know a lot of nerfers in California since its such a big state.

As a member of the aforementioned L.A. community, I would like to say that we are relatively active. There's a couple of groups floating around here, but in terms of the NIC, it's just S.C.U.N. We have an upcoming war on the 16th, and it would be awesome to see you there.

If two powerful is a problem then just go with one powerful. I guess this style of hopper will work even beyond three powerful..

A vast majority of the SCUN guys aren't active on NIC forums. We have wars every other month or so, and as Mysterio said, there's one in Long Beach on the 16th that I'm hosting. We usually see 10-15 people at our smaller events, and generally around 40 at Armageddon. There's another group based in Norwalk that primarily uses lightly modded Elite gear and does a lot of HvZ.

The thread for the G.L.U.E.D.O.M.E.S. war is here. You should definitely try to make it out if you're available.
