Ok, I got my hands on 2K internals today, and im going to replace the pump, as the stock one was broken. Id like to just remove everything from the liquid gauge back, and plug in a small ball pump. The question I have is, how do I get a check valve back into the equation between the tank and pump? Suggestions? Can I buy one at lowes/home depot or something?

I also have a 2k with a broken pump. I removed the goo gage and replaced the tubing, but I to would like to replace the pump and need some sort of check valve. Is there a good stock nerf pump with a built in check valve that would work?

I've been told that panther pumps have great check valves. Not huge in the air blaster scene, so don't take my word for it.

Magstrike pumps are pretty good. And IIRC the pump tube has the same diameter as the at2k pump.

Well how would one go about installing a check valve from another blaster? Are there pvc check valves? Ive searched the forums for 2k replacement pump mods, and the closesy i got was the writeup saying he broke his pump and installed a new one, he doesnt state how or where he got it. :/

Just request a free sample for a check valve here. Just put it in the tubing coming out of the pump shaft.

I've seen check valves from walmart's aquarium section used effectively.

After cutting off the goo guage, you can drill the hole just big enough (read:fits tightly on) for some tubing, then shove the tubing in there and use super glue and goop, probably, to attach.

Alternatively, you could try using a similar techniques to glue part of a hose barb (check you local hardware store...and I'm not talking about home improvement stores like Lowes or Home Depot...and they should have some) to the tank and then attach tubing to it.

Either way, just be sure not to shove anything too far into the back of the tank to the point that it would affect the movment of the valve. Once you having tubing on the tank and pump, it's a simple matter of shoving the tubing onto the check valve.

Here is a check valve that I have used a few times. You can order it online or find it at the store and it has worked well for me. It connects to 1/4" vinyl tubing so using it should be pretty easy. I just super glue the vinyl tubing to both ends and I have had no problems doing that so far.

This topic has been extensively covered in any of the pump replacement guides in the modifications directory. I prefer to source my check valves from McMaster, but aquariums are a good source as well.
