While I was on ebay, I saw a new looking longshot. I clicked on the link, and it was at target. It's a Preorder coming august 3 of this year! I am so excited.

here is the link:

New reincarnated Longshot

Edit: The only thing i noticed that was different about the blaster... other than not having the front gun and color layout... is the priming handle. Click the link, go to the second image, and zoom in on the box. Look at the priming handle on that side. there is just a flat piece on it, not having two priming handles on it, it just has the one.

I have also heard of this, but I'm kinda of afraid that the internals might not be the same.

I have a feeling that the internals will be the same because:

  • It already has a direct plunger. That's a reqirement for it to be elite, or this generation
  • For them to change the plunger assembly would mean they'd have to modify the shell. If they have done so, thsoe two bipood stubs wouldn't have existed.
  • hasbro can be lazy, as seen in their several recolorings. scince it's technically already elite, why bother?

My guess is; the only thing they've changed in this longshot is the the breech, to feed in elite darts.
Next, would be to change that HUGE air restrictor for elite ranges.
Note the breech is very easy for nerf to adjust rather than the whole shell.

Hasbro has already confirmed that all of the Z.E.D. Squad blasters (Just clear shot and LS so far) will keep their original ranges

Hm, that's strange. I ordered a couple of these about a week ago and it definitely did not say it was a pre-order. Oh well. The delivery estimate was between the 14th and 31st of this month, so I'll post some pictures of internals here just to confirm that they're same if no one else has by then. I do agree with Proplus though, I see no reason for them to suddenly give this a reverse plunger system.

Where did you buy it at? Target? Cause if so, it should've said pre-order underneath the price.

Also, I have never owned one, so what are the stock ranges if you used elites in a longshot? About 55 feet at most? Cause if so, that is what they are claiming it will have.

I think it is kinda funny for Hasbro to use a once-discontinued blaster in the Zombie Strike line. Kinda using an undead blaster to shoot undead people.

Yes, it was Target. I haven't had a stock longshot in years, nor do I own any elite darts. 55 feet seems within reason though.

Or hell, Spiderbite has sweet deals on this stuff now, so there's really no reason not to Rainbow.

How sad and unrelated that may be, I saw those on taobao for under 10$ in China, and was considering getting them for fun. Taobao has hordes of fake and entertaining products that sometimes make it to amazon and the like.

Don't forget the dart-tooth, as that is an essential part to the elite CS blasters(though they started it with the stampede and alpha trooper). The elites have to be able to be chambered into the breech properly without friction from a dart tooth that moves vertically causing a bending problem due to a lack of dart head stem to prevent such issues seen when using elites in stock longshot breeches.
