i cant find FBR in lowes,homedepot, or acehardware. any other place i can find FBR

Did you check the weather section? It might also be called caulk saver. Just since someone at Home depot doesn't know what you are talking about, doesn't mean they don't have it. Where do you live so people can possibly give a local store.

whoa, how can lowes AND home depot not have FBR? look by windows. its on the aisle marked "weather stripping" at lowes.
thers just no way...that would be like not having caulk.

Somebody with a better cam than mine take a pic of the package so this guy can print it out and bring it to Home Depot with him. They have it, it's just hard to find since it's not a commonly requested item.

Are you asking them for "FBR" or "Foam Balker Rod" (sp?) because no one knows what FBR is but they do know what Foam Balker Rod is, so try that.

Caulk Saver is usually more useful than Foam Backer Rod, because if someone knows where caulk is, caulk saver is usually nearby.

In all of the hardware stores I have seen, FBR is usually kept in the weatherstripping/insulation sections for doors and windows.

Sometimes caulk is scattered around the store (roofing, weatherstripping, paint, etc), so FBR may not be kept right near the caulk. Look for weatherstripping, and you should be able to find FBR.

BTW FBR is Foam Backer Rod which is the stuff you use to make stefans.
