Personally, I feel the NF doesnt need a silencer. The spring and plunger inside make enough noise...plus your NF seems pretty long now. Decent silencer though.

hahahaha... the title reminded me of a time i was out with my cousin at a theater. She's pretty, but she uses it in a bitchy way. She'd wink at these nerdy guys, and they'd just stare and drool.

Grr... Do NOT remind me of girls who do that, as to I am a nerd, and some girls do the exact same thing to me.. I've progressed to the point where I'll confront them about it, so they don't bug me anymore. (No offense intended Accord)

Anyways, back on topic, does the silencer REALLY work? I mean, I thought those types of silencers only worked on pump guns.

I was just worried NHQ's off-topic section had somehow escaped quarantine.

Why two pieces of the same size of piping on the silencer/barrel thing? Doesn't the spring clash make it mostly useless?

Oh Zero, you slay me.

The spring clash really does make the silencer useless, it's too bad. And now the gun looks really long, too. I think it's time for a new barrel.

See, you nerds need a trip to Gencon and E3. Then whine when some girl whinks at you. ;)

While you're there, see if you can find any breasts other than sweaty man-boobs.

Okay, I'm done with that. Chrys (Do you mind if I call you Chrys?), just get a straight piece of either 9/16" or 17/32", pending on your dart size. Make it from about 4-6", and there ya go. No more worries.

your silencer is floppy *snicker*

silence the internals. dampening on EVERYTHING. neoprene on piston face, if you can get FBR onto the spring that would save a lot of noise, FBR around the cylinder, the barrel, the cocking lever, the trigger...all of it. my LnL, while still noisy, is quieter stuffed full of closed-cell plastic products, and is gonna get quieter still if i can figure out how to silence the spring.

Can you say "overcompensation"? :) Just kidding. Looks good, but you might want to add something into the space you cut off, like ammo holders or maybe a SSPB.

I see you left the case open when you cut off the light, as well. Has anybody found a perfect item at a store or something that fits into there nicely? THe gun looks sweet, but rather unintimidating when someone sees a huge gap on the front of the gun.

Since I found out all my modeling clay was dry, I just stuffed a bunch of cotton balls in there, then somehow packed it in and made it keep it's form. I'm going to change it to Bondo soon as I get some.

im working on moving the dart holders to where the light was on mine. the light is of no use, and the ammo holders hanging below the frame are just begging to catch on things, so i removed the light and cut the section of the under-barrel box where the light lived.

I already did that with mine and made it look like the real gun mold.

Here's the link, I'm getting new pics soon so you can tell the gun is not only black.

My Nite Finder PPK w/Maglite
I replaced the light with a Maglite and it's adjustable beam head. The remaining gaps I will fill with bondo, creating a smooth surface.
Crys, get some Bondo.
Hunter

Don't know what Bondo is?
