I am a major n00b here. I plan to modify and paint my nite fire but, does it matter which paint you use? If so which one?

For most plastics, Acrylic, Enamel, or Krylon Fusion Spraypaint works well. If you do a search, there are plenty of threads on this forum that discuss this.

Use krylon fusion. Simple, fast, looks great.

I haven't tried using Krylon Fusion, but I have heard of many people having success with it. Maybe I should pick some up for my next painting project.

you might also want to spray a colorless sealant over afterward. Depending on the spray you used before it, the sealant can also make the spray paint "unsticky" when you hold it, and it also protects the paint job from wear.

what is krylon fusion's bonding to the plastic like compared to nonamo brand spray paint? in painting computers a couple years ago, i used testor's pactra because it actually bonds chemically with the plastic of the case.

also, are there any truly matte sealants out there? i have not encountered any...

Thanks for your help. Where can i get Krlyon Fusion stuff and is it expensive?

Try your local hardware store. They should have it. At the stores I've been in, it's not been very much more expensive than any other brand.
