My cousin bought a second hand Longshot for our upcoming Larp, but he says the spring is worn out on it. So I was wondering what the best replacement for it would be? I've looked at orange mod works and blaster parts but he is put off by the warning of extra wear and possible breakage. So I figured you guys would know more about it.

Any spring that adds additional performance will cause at least some extent of wear and tear, though I've found that my LS seems to be holding up rather well with no reinforcement. It is currently running a 3B spring outer coil with a Little NF spring tucked in there for a little extra punch. Granted, it doesn't come out to play often, but it's been solid for the last two years. Honestly, though, with how sought after those things seem to be, you might just want to reinforce it while you're in there putting a new spring in it. The extra performance from this spring setup is enough to almost require the barrel extension with elites, as the snub-nose setup pretty much fishtails anything other than "mean mutha" stefans (you know, the kind nobody wants to get shot with).
