Just so everyone knows, this is my first post. I've already read everything and checked everywhere, so don't worry.
Yesterday I picked up a few Triads for an integration idea I had. Today I went to take them appart. I drilled to hole, took the trigger out of both, almost had the entire thing apart, just one peice left, the orange barrel tips.
I'll get pictures ASAP, but basically on both of the Triads, there is a metal pin in place of the screw on the front of the pistol. It's the screw port in the center of the three barrels.
Is this a problem other people have overcome? Did I miss something? So far I don't know how to overcome this issue, I've warped the plastic on one of them with vice grips trying to pry it off. Toughts?
Again, pictures are on the way.

Why do you need to remove the orange anyway?
Also, no one seems to understand that drilling a hole is NOT needed. The back plate pops out with clips, the screw can be removed, then the rest of the assembly slides out.

The pin where you are talking about is a friction seal pin, it is not really made to come out. You can drill the head off of the pin, but then you will not be able to use the pin to hold the barrel tip in place. This pin used to be a screw in earlier models from what I've read, but has been changed. If you do decide to drill the pin out, be very careful as if you drill too far or are at an angle you can seriously mess up the barrels or you could destroy the plastic that would hold the tip in place.

Drilling a hole is much cleaner due to all the marks and bent plastic that happens while prying the back plate off.

I've done 3 without stress marks- I guess it just depends on patience/hurry.

All the triads that I've gotten my hands on have been glued, so the back plate doesn't pop off at all, requiring me to drill the hole to get to the screw on all of them.

As far as why you would want to remove the orange barrel tip....ahem...a cleaner paint-job comes to mind, among other things.
