Hey everyone...

I'm trying to find a Nerf repair person somewhere in Los Angeles or Orange County and I haven't had much luck.

I have a Vulcan that I purchased used and the previous owner didn't take care of it, and it needs repairs. I also have a box of random parts and I have no idea what parts go with which guns I have, although I have guns which are fully functional, so many of these pieces and parts go to something else like the Vulcan.

If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, I'd appreciate it.

First, you could check out the internals directory. I'd also suggest looking in the modifications directory, one of the mods listed there has tons of good internal pictures. That would tell you roughly what's wrong or broken on yours.

Secondly, you could salvage the shell to use for...something else. Mayhaps you like the shell, but not the guts?

I don't know, that sounds like fun! Low pay, though.

We may be able to help if you can tell us more about the problems with the blasters.

I did hours of research before I popped open my first stampede; my advice would be to dip into the great wealth of nerf videos and internals pics here and on the web, to familiarize yourself with the internals of the blaster(s) you want to repair. Watch mod tutorials, use the search feature on the haven, etc. if you have the time and tools for the job you should be good.

Modding Nerf guns is one of the best ways you can lose your fear of opening things up. Just start with something simple (buy a pistol and try a barrel replacement from the modding directory).

If your profile detail is correct, from your geographic location it should be very easy to procure cheap blasters like Nitefinders to mess around with. There's nothing that teaches more than going out there and messing with things and learning hands-on.

I'm too lazy to search for this stuff now, but when I first joined the hobby most of my stuff was pretty much garbage.

Thrift store blasters are the best to experiment on, as you won't feel too bad if you ruin the blaster (and you will ruin a few). Vulcans are a bad blaster to start off on, since they're so complicated by comparison.
