Iwas just wondering if there where any BMX riders out there, if there are post what kind of bike you have and what you ride. Or just a disscussion about our favorite pasttime (no not nerf!)

BMX> Bicycle Motor Cross, I don't know what the Motor part comes from but we are talking about bikes made for doing stunts or tricks with. Here is an example: http://www.flybikesb...lonablueeng.jpg

That is a nice bike. Cept I like gyro on 'em.
I use to BMX. I suck at it though. But I do it from time to time still, just not hardcore to the max!
I got a Haro TR2.3 (dirt), with a Kink Lite Sprocket. I'm gonna add more to it. So far I hate the color. It's army green. ^_^
For some reason I use this smilie too much. It fits perfect with everything!

Edit: I have a pic from when I bleached my hair but it turned out orange. Crappy photo but It shows something. My friends Mountain Bike (Urban and dirt for them). We we're searching for spots around this bussiness area, and found some fun little drop off. Nothing special. Notice the flat tire on my front wheel? That was from landing.

Technically its bicycle moto cross, not motor. But still, wher do they get it from?

I use to do some illegal racing on a BMX. It was the Schwinn SX2000. Mine weighed 13 lbs. Used it till the chain snapped, have yet to replace it. Now I do the smae races, only different class, with a mountain bike. Specialized Hardrock Comp. Max speed I've ever achieved on a bike was with that one. 37 mph on a flat road, tired me out so much after that time that I didn't do anything for the next day.

Although I don't BMX (Why would I? I live in one of the best mountain biking cities in the world) I do believe I can help you with how BMX got its name. The first BMX bikes were designed for racing, not for doing tricks. If I'm not mistaken, the sport was a spin off of Moto Cross racing. The first BMXers raced their bikes on tracks similar to Moto Cross racing tracks. "Bicycle Moto Cross" meant that they did the same style of riding as Moto Crossers, but with Bicycles. What I just said is made up mostly my own ideas. I have not actually researched how BMX got its name. This is just what i think, and it kinda makes sense.

Mountain Biking is Fun and I've had fun riding in places like Moab Utah (awesome) but I enjoy the thrill of BMXing way more, I mostly ride dirt/jumps but I do have fun just playing around in the streets still working on grind!

edit: Oh and I have a Diamondback Joker from like 2000 but I'm hoping to get the "S&M Dirtbike"

Well, I mountain bike, and I have over 15 miles of trails in my woods that I made with some friends over the last 3 years. Now that I purchased a dirtbike (Xr100r tis a honda) I won't be biking as much. I'll still bike to keep myself in shape, just no more 10 milers for no reason.

On the subject of urban MTB, up at the local highschool, I was filming some of my queer old friends (trying to get sponsered for skattboredin leaving no time for anything else) I had my mountain bike (trek alpha 4500, judy jett II rock shox)
and the friendly local fuzz decided to show up, they got outta the cruiser, and being smarter and faster then my friends and the cops, I jumped a 5 stair, and sped off into the night. While my friends got taken down to the station.

The moral is kids, if j00 g0ts teh sk1llz, j00 g075 teh sp33d then outrun the cops.

No they turned out to be assholes. I found some hot lady friends around my house that are into the same stuff. One of em' races motocross, the other plays paintball, and the last one is just cool. And hot. Did I mention she was hot ?
