The only place to find brass is in local hobby shops. Look in your Yellow Pages for hobby shops in your area. They should all carry them. Make sure the listing in the Yellow Pages advertises model railroads, because that is what brass is for now.

There's a neat little store up in Bellevue that sells clear plastic pipe. I've not been up there yet, but from what their website shows, they've got a pretty good selection. The place is TAP Plastics. They're on 124th Ave., just south of 520.

Really!?!?!? Wow, It would be awesome if I could get my brass at Home Depot, because it is much closer than my hobby shop. I asked around in the plumbing department, and they said they no longer stocked it due to its price. Maybe they still do have it, just not in plumbing. Most of the hardware stores I go to (Home Depot, Menards, etc.) usually keep their brass tubing in the metalwork section, in the same area of sheet metal.

If stock plastic barrels were made tighter, longer, and without holes in their sides, then they might be better than brass barrels. However, most stock Nerf barrels are not perfectly round, not tight enough, and have silly air restrictors to limit velocity and range.

I don't know of a PVC size that fits 1/2" FBR correctly.

Viper: I use CPVC mainly since it fits my darts.
Vintage: Viper wasn't talking about using stock barrels.
