The handle has a big trigger. It rotated a cam that pulls the big plunger back for a short stroke. Another cam indexes a selector and switches which tube the air gets diverted. I think the twin tube/barrel assembly may work similar to the triple barrel jolt and roughcut where the AR shuts off the barrel and the next barrel is fired. However that is only for the twin barrels. Each twin barrel assembly is independent of each other.

One thing I like is that after all 4 shots are fired, one more pull on the trigger and the barrels automatically retract into the shield.

I got one of these, mainly cause I am a huge Capt. America fan, I haven't seen any real modding potential with this so far, but it's fun as anything to play around with.

Griever 2112 still plays with his alpha trooper quite often despite owning one of the scariest +bows.

They are on clearance at walmart right now. I'm wondering if the shield can be cut and the firing tubes set to always point forward.

I am sure there is a way, but at that point you really are removing the "cool" factor of the shields design. You would be better off at that point buying 2 firestrikes, and one of the frisbee shields and doing a makeshift manta style setup.

True. Maybe I can add a motor and toggle switch to it so I don't have to pull the arming bar back.
