Stall Current on rapidstrike motors?

What do you guys run your rapidstrikes on? I don't think 9.6 would be enough to blow them out, but I'm not sure on the current.
It's a Ni-Cd 9.6 2000 MAH battery from Tenergy if that helps.

Also, NiMH > NiCD.
EDIT: Amps don't matter. Motors will only 'ask' for as much as they can handle. Voltage is force-fed.
Edit 2: Are you wiring to supply 9.6v and 1000 mA to each motor, or 4.8v and 2000 mA to each?

I'm removing the magazine safety with the thermistor on it and the PCB board on the motors and rewiring. Might put heavier gauge wire in it.
I'm wiring the battery into the stock battery tray, so I don't know what that would be. Don't forget it also has 3 motors.
I ran 9 volts into my stryfe without a problem, a little burning motor smell but no burnout. I wouldn't ask if the rapidstrike had only 2 motors but since there's 3 I don't know if it will work.

Well, mAH matter for figuring out max discharge current.I run 7.2v 3300 mA with a full rewire. It already stings ad has great range, and the motors smell of ozone after 20 seconds of revving. Although there was a factory-blown capacitor and a broken lead, so my motors might be shit as well. I would say that 9.6v would burn out your motors fairly quickly. Are you rewiring, removing thermistors, improving switches, etc?

And motors only ask for what they need, but as you increase voltage, they ask for more.
I know that people have run their Rapidstrikes at 3s, but the push motor is can move fast at that speed. Using diodes to drop it down is a nice idea.

Thing is, trustfires don't actually supply the amperage the motors ask for at those speeds. They are self-limitng in that motors take longer to rev up and recover, because the amperage simply isn't there. If you ran a 16 volt RS with all the amps the motors ask for, they would melt.I've seen people run rapidstrikes on 3-4 trust fires which is 12-16 volts respectively. I don't think I'll have a problem.
Also, the RS does have 3 motors, but look at a wiring diagram. Only the flywheels run continuously- the pusher only runs for a few seconds. Don't factor it into your voltage (IE divide by 3.)

He's running a 9.6 in his RS and Rayven.
