So far I only have the nite finder, maverick and strongarm. I would like to venture into clip system nerf gun. I'm looking for advice, because I am torn between buying the Retaliator or the Rampage. From what I read so far, both guns have their benefits, and I would be happy with either one. My biggest concern is jamming. I read comments concerning jamming issue for both guns. I need help discerning whether the jamming is due to user error or lemon product. Some people don't have any jamming issue, while some have constant jamming. Is it just poor QA by Nerf? Pretty much I'm asking which gun tend to jam less.

This is my personal experience, the Rampage will jam the first time you touch it in a war, but once you shake it enough it is good, the retaliator is different as I find that it will jam when your trying to fire it too fast as it doesn't have slamfire. I would just recommend the rampage as it has slam fire which helps a lot. Don't quote me as this is my experience and I could be priming it too hard.

I was aware that the retaliator does not have slam fire. So you don't have jamming issue with the retaliator at normal shooting speed?

I've found the vast majority of jamming and misfeeds to be caused by user error after loaning out a number of CS-based blasters over the years for casual indoor games. Some pull the trigger on the Maverick the wrong way, and the barrel doesn't index. Some move the bolt (on CS blasters) back and forth improperly when cycling and cause double-feeds. If whoever's using your blasters knows what they're doing, I don't think it's a problem at all, although the occasional deformed dart may cause problems. That said, most deformed darts are caused from improper operation and jams from my experience. Use some common sense, don't store darts in magazines nor barrels for too long, and never leave blasters primed when not in use.

I thought they added slam-fire to the Retaliator as they did to the Strongarm. I could be wrong though.

The main cases where Nerf is at fault is dart compatibility. Streamlines are incompatible with many blasters due to them having AR posts that are too long. Some blasters that use Elites will not work with Streamlines without modding.

At normal shooting speed I don't have a problem. Though with any nerf blaster, dart quality is going to affect everything.

nope, no slam-fire on the retaliator, i do love the gun though. My personal opinion though, this is why "which is better" posts are discouraged here.
