Where can I find CPVC barrels for nerf guns? After realizing that PETG didn't work with my BBB, I really want to get some kind of barrel that will fit, CPVC. I can't find any at my hardware stores, help?

If you are desperate, you can order off McMaster, item number is 5037k31.

Otherwise, I would try some other home depots. Some have it stocked, some do not.

I'm fairly sure a local hardware store should have cpvc.

Open Google and search 'hardware zipcode', obviously you put in your own zip code.

Call the stores and ask if they have cpvc. Willing to bet one has it.

If not, as mentioned McMaster will have some. Alternatively, haven members are always willing to sell you some; for a profit of course.

There are parts of the us where CPVC is not available because it is not up to the local code. You can look it up on Lowes and home depot's website, and they will tell you whether it is stocked locally. You may be able to have it shipped to the store for free.

You can ask the workers there if they have Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride which stands for CPVC. That's how I got mine.

I found some at an Osh and at a Ganahl lumber. The thing is, they're sold in the big 10 foot sections, not near the aisles of fittings and such, so you'd probably have to ask a worker about it, or call ahead!

CPVC pipe can usually be bought at any hardware or plumbing store. Since you're having trouble finding it, call around to hardware stores, plumbing supply houses, farm supply stores such as Tractor supply or Atwoods, and maybe even lawn and garden stores to see if they have it. You can find listings for such stores in the phone book or online. When online, just search for "*insert desired product* *insert your town*". Example: CPVC pipe Joplin MO.

As Langley said, it's also possible that your town just doesn't carry it, so you might have to order it online. You also could just not be looking correctly in the hardware store. It should be in the plumbing section right next to the PVC pipe. It has a yellowish or brownish look to it. It's also a good idea to ask employees, because it could be in a totally different section of the store.

It's very possible it's not anywhere near the PVC. Thankfully, my Lowes has them right in the same aisle; but the HD's (and some other local hardware stores) I've been to have PVC pipe in its own aisle and copper/PEX/CPVC in another aisle.

PVC is typically used as drain pipe - CPVC can be supply pipe, as can copper and PEX. Take a dart or two when you're looking, CPVC around here has terrible consistency and I always need to try a few sticks to get one that fits well.

I found some at an Osh and at a Ganahl lumber...

As far as I know, Osh is only located in CA unfortunately.
Also, regarding the other thread you started, when you say you're looking for CPVC that fits stock darts, do you mean you're looking for a different kind of CPVC pipe entirely?...If so, I don't think something like that exists. I know streamline darts (especially the new ones) have a very tight fit in CPVC, if you're looking for a barrel material that'll work for stock darts, that has a slightly larger inside diameter than CPVC pipe, and is easier to load, I'd try 17/32", or 9/16" brass pipe, which might be available at a local hobby store. I'd call in before, just to make sure they carry it, it's usually sold in 1' lengths, for about $3.50, to $4.00 a foot. I'd recommend bringing a dart along, to test the fit before purchase, if you decide to go with brass.

Definitely bring a dart, not all brass is the same.
The 17/32" on McMaster is a great springer fit for stock darts.
