I went to Target today to get the Hammershot, which is awesome. Dual wielding is lots of fun, and I had not seen this posted before; it has a version of the slam-fire. Much like a revolver, you hold the trigger down and palm the hammer to fire all five in quick succession. Five shots is not a lot for slam firing, but good in panic mode I guess.




But what really surprised me was that the Revonix 360 was there, I had not heard it was out yet, but there it was. I suspect it is not officially out, just an early stocking. There was not much fanfare for this blaster was there? The zombie strike line is fun and I obviously am buying that product, but the Revonix is revolutionary in design and I would say the best vortex blaster out there now. I am surprised it was not a bigger deal. Is there even going to be an official announcement, or are they just going to appear on store shelves?

I've seen the revonix360 at the target I checked though I didn't pick it up as I was getting the rapidstrike. I think there releasing all the announcements in september or late august.

The revonix seems... Overly complicated. I wouldn't call it revolutionary unless you explain to me how exactly it's revolutionary.
You load the discs in vertically, and the loading mech makes it load horizontally and it works like it's supposed to. I suppose that it's slimmer than the 40 round drum, but it adds unnecessary length instead of height like with the drum. Slam fire seems like a pain with this blaster, since the loading requires reorientation of the disc, ROF is not going to be high if you don't want jams. Just my 2 cents. I'd still rather buy the pyragon.

Also, the kid on the box looks extremely douchey. You can't deny it.

I suppose the "revolution" (despite the obvious pun in the loading mech design) comes from it's ability to be in some fashion reloaded while remaining completely primed and ready to fire, which typically was the domain of turret-loaded blasters like the firefly etc. This, coupled with it's claim of being "the furthest firing vortex blaster" as opposed to the typically under-performing load-on-the-fly dart blasters we typically get, is at least more of a reason to be proud than highly exaggerated angled ranges on repaints of last year's guns.

Just sayin'.

Which target? I live in. The salt lake area and I haven't been able to find any of the zombie series. Thrilled you can fan fire the hammer shot. I was wondering if it would have that feature, but didn't trust myself to dream.

This is the best explanation of the Revonix360. Unfortunately, the Hail-Fire brings the exact same qualifications to the interview. Plus, you know, clip system.

I am interested to see the power gain over a Pyragon, but i doubt it's worth the trade of no clip system.

Don't get me wrong, I avoid disc guns like the plague. And insofar as the hailfire, the clip does still need to be disengaged from the main body of the blaster, as opposed to just "shove and go" (granted this is an assumption from visual inspection, I have not yet purchased one as I see little tactical gain over even a simple stryfe- kinda sounds like a lot of people with their pyragon).

Strangely enough, it reminds me the most of a "furyfire" method of reloading. And again, do not misconstrue what I say- I have little to no interest in this blaster and am not necessarily defending it, But I do like to see new engineering concepts from Hasbro. I guess if you want you can use it as a driver in Frisbee mini-golf.

Others have mentioned the good qualities of the Revonix 360, but it is worth mentioning that the rate of fire for the Revonix is rather high. Just look at this video from FoamfromAbove:

My local target here in La has 'em too, it looks really slick in my opinion, but I'd rather pop 40 bucks on a Rapidstrike. Pretty sweet blaster though, I'd love to know how it works.
