I got my Rapidstrike from tescos. Decided to take it apart to mod it today, But ran in to an issue, Hasbro have chosen to glue the blaster together around the pusher mech.

Photos are here to show it:

Mine was also glued in the same location if you look closely you can see some indentations on the blaster on the outside. I used a 5mm drill bit and drilled to a depth of 10mm and it came apart quite nicely.

Again nothing to exciting but info none the less

Pretty lame.

I'm actually sort of surprised that this isn't more common. It's way faster to just glue stuff together on the assembly line than to screw in a dozen+ screws.

Didn't really want to start drilling holes in my blaster. It does seem like it was quite effective thou.

And to answer the over point, it still has a dozen screws in it.

This is actually pretty interesting. I bought one of the first lot that got released in the UK a few weeks ago and it wasn't glued. I then tried the one I got from Hasbro today and it was glued together.

Strange move.
