Post in this thread when a homemade Nerf gun you made breaks. Post information about the break, including how it happened and photos if possible. This information will be useful so that we can design more durable Nerf guns.

Pumpsnap slide crack. My friend either broke it by accidentally banging it against a wall or firing it without the pump slide being fully returned to the front.

On my first PumpSNAP, I used Bondo instead of epoxy putty for the trigger and catch ramp. Bad move. Apparently Bondo is much softer than epoxy putty, because both the trigger and catch ramp broke. It also didn't help that I failed to sand the area that the Bondo was applied to on the catch ramp; I failed to cut the trigger to the proper length; and I failed to round off the head of the nail. I used epoxy putty on my next attempts, and I eventually got the trigger to work, and the PumpSNAP has been working well since then.
