Well, huge shout out to MyLastDart for coming through with DPCI codes for some new blasters that have yet to hit the shelves at Target.

I just thought I'd post it on here for you guys:

MEGA Centurion - $49.99: 087-11-0337
MEGA Dart Refill - $6.99: 087-11-0339
RapidStrike CS-18 - $39.99: 087-11-0338
Vortex Revonix 360 - $39.99: 087-11-0336
Blazin' Bow - $19.99: 087-11-0340

Also, here's a link to the original article: MyLastDart DPCI Codes

Happy hunting, and feel free to update this thread with your findings.

Targets may have these codes in their systems, but these items will not be in stores for a wile.

Knowing the DPCI is basically useless, and are only for Target stores.

Thanks for reposting the Reddit thread. I come to nerfhaven to get away from the drivel and vastly moronic nerf posts that spawn in that pit.

Tell that to all the people with $6.00 EATs, including THIS GUY who apparently made his own "moronic" post about Target DPCIs back then. Obviously history won't repeat itself with that bargain, but getting the jump on the new blasters when they hit the stockroom is still something that even the most hardcore, humorless Nerf fan would appreciate.

@ Mikejonas, thank you for putting it like that, I was thinking the same thing, but it wouldn't have come out so pretty if I had said it. From what I've read in MLD's article, history might repeat itself with the Revonix since it's still in the system as a praxis, some people have gotten it for $6.99.

This.

Hi, as someone who currently works in the backroom of a Target, let me explain how this wouldn't work.

  • You take these numbers to Target and ask someone to find this item.
  • The employee will call to the back and rattle off the number to the backroom team.
  • We will type the number in and it will come back with "no listed locations" or if it's way too soon(ie three months before they hit the shelves) then it will say "Item not on file" because even the distribution centers won't have them yet.
  • Also, people calling back there looking for an item that isn't on the shelves is enough of a waste of the backroom team's time, so searching for six numbers would just really piss them off(so by about the third number they won't even type it in, they'll just say no location).
TL;DR
95% of Targets don't get merchandise until, at the earliest, the week before release. At the latest, the day of.

DartGirl, I feel like you're missing the point of the DPCI codes existing. They're about supply chain management and monitoring inventory as it moves from distribution to sale floor.

The codes existing tells us that at minimum these blasters are somewhere within the Target supply chain. More than likely, given that they're a few days old, it means that Target has purchased a shipment of Nerf products, including these new blasters, which has now left Shenzhen, China, where most Nerf products are made.

It also provides a way for us as consumers to start looking for them. That's a useful thing. I've got a script hooked into the Target DPCI database (Hooray for web based non-verified APIs) that is checking whether they're available every morning. As they start to hit Target's major distribution centers throughout the US, we'll be able to notice.

In general, I don't understand the anger at having more information? It's not like it costs you anything to know the DPCI codes exist.

Dude... she fucking WORKS at Target... I think she is fully aware of its purpose. Yeah, it is more info for us. That is awesome... but Someone who works on the store end. Trust me, if they are not in a mood to give a shit, the DCPI code won't matter.

The information is there for you to do whatever you want with it. DartGirl, who works for the only store at which this info is useful, weighed in. I don't think there's anything left to say here.

Got this in my inbox this morning:

All of those Target DPCI numbers for upcoming blasters, that people have been foaming at the mouth over.

They're all now invalid.

Which means that they've been removed from the system.

Whether or not you care, I thought it was pertinent information.

Ta ta,
DG
