Hello again. Jediael here.

I know a lot of you have seen this mod on these forums, maybe a a few haven't. I wanted to share with you all the updated version of this mod.

As some of you may recall, one of the biggest changes I've gone thru in this mod is the harnessing system of carrying the big tank. Thru my interations of the mod I've made it significantly smaller with other adjustments. I have been trying to find some sort of backpack, plate vest with molle or something to craft into a more comfortable and lightweight harness for carrying the system.

While looking thru a pawn shop I frequent, I found the perfect thing: a baby backpack carrier.

This is the carrier. Looking it over I found everything was held together with nice pins and had tons of options for mounting possibilities.

I removed the carrier part and fabric and brought it down to a pretty sweet frame with shoulder and waist straps.

After checking out the size of the frame and the tank enclosure, I found that they were the same width. Since this carrier is designed to have the baby up high to maxmize weight distribution on the wearer's torso, I placed the tank in the same location the baby would be and secured it with brackets.

The result was awesome. Trying it on I didn't even feel the weight of the tank, which wasn't surprising considering the carrier is designed to make wearing a baby for prolonged periods of time comfortable. I reattached the pop out stand so I could put the carrier down. (I realize it's on upside down, I'll fix that later).

Here is my entire loadout with the ammo bags, feed lines and my new integrated stampede/magstrike primary.

And here it is in action:

This is great! Too bad baby carriers are so expensive new. I'm considering making a tank system similar to your previous version, but with a 2.5 gallon tank which is 26" long instead of 13". Do you think that the bigger tank would fit with you backpack design?

I happened to snatch one of the carriers up for $18 at a pawn shop. If you want to try the same thing, I suggest looking for second hand goods for things like that.

As you can see from the carrier, there is still room to put potentially a second 1 gallon tank on that carrier or a 2.5 gallon tank like you are thinking of. Is it the 2.5 gallon tank from viair? I think either the 2 gallon or 2.5 gallon would be sufficient. Both models have two brackets on them so you could use a longer piece of wood to mount the tank on then bracket that wood to the frame of a carrier.

So short answer: I would say very likely yes.

If you need any help with the design of it, reference my other guides or shoot me a message. I'd be glad to help you.
