Or lasers. You should integrate some lasers into your Nerf darts. Problem solved.
On the other hand, the guy who posted before me used the word 'fuck' a lot so he probably knows what he's talking about.

So ok, today I was playing around with my Strongarm when some of my darts when shot fly for a while then fall to the ground. Any ways to stop that?
Yes, remove the ground.

Alternatively, you could have some crappy darts, either a batch with a bad head code (HvZers know all about this) or there may be a crack in the foam of your dart.

Because I'm not a total douche, I'm going to take a serious crack at his "problem". I believe that he is describing how streamlines glide based on how the hole in the side of the dart head is oriented when fired. Streamlines, and the Elite darts which are derived from streamlines will always fly better when those holes are pointed straight up or straight down, but will veer off to the side when pointed to the side. What you are seeing is the darts loosing range due to the hole in the side of the dart being aligned randomly in the barrel because you are not taking precautions to ensure that that hole is always aligned up or down.

I've never properly oriented the hole on the streamlines, and my ranges are consistent. And foam can't really crack...
This is probably the same "langleysux" kid that had that troll topic about nitefinders or what have you.

If the foam is cracked or split your range will go to shit regarless of how long the stress fracture is

Well, than you have a very good code of dart head. Also, I've managed to split ~20 streamlines. It's quite simple to do, just shoot them with a high-powered airgun. You'll see a wonderful slit in the wall of the tube of foam.I've never properly oriented the hole on the streamlines, and my ranges are consistent. And foam can't really crack...

Last time I checked, a strongarm wasn't a high powered air gun. And if this guy doesn't know enough to figure out why his darts don't work, I doubt he's competent enough to create, or modify an air gun to that level of power.

I don't think you get what I'm saying. If he has cracked darts that he is using in his Strongarm, that could account for his strange loss of range. I also don't think there's enough information in this person's post or history with the site to determine his level of intelligence. In addition, it's quite easy to split a dart with very little mods to an airgun. I've split several darts with just the AR removed from a Range master, and it's a very simple matter to coupler a 4B or a BBURB. Darts are a very complex subject, and lots of people sometimes have trouble "figuring out why their darts don't work", and yet they still post valuable information on this site.Last time I checked, a strongarm wasn't a high powered air gun. I get what your saying. I'm just saying your pretty much wrong.

And sometimes in turret based blasters like the barricade, maverick, etc, tip is torn off, if the dart is not inserted properly (a bit is poking out), and it gets caught up in the roataion mech, when the rotation mech is forced.

In my opinion, there's not enough info in the op to determine the cause of the problem, it seems like the only thing we can do is too make assumptions as too what he's referring too.

And Mully hits the nail on the head. This is why as much detail as possible is necessary for any kind of repair thread...because if there isn't enough detail, we end up with the mess of speculation and guesswork that is this thread.
Seeing as how FlareAlex hasn't been around to give out any more clues, I'm closing this pile of guesswork and speculation. Feel free to start another thread, so long as you give more people to go on.
