I have been searching for, unsuccessfully, either a breakdown of the firefly tech clips or someone who modded the Vortex Pyragon to use the firefly tech with it's 40 disc clip.
I saw the clip internals on this site and thought the barrel of the gun might be the better place for led's but that would only charge the single disc and only for a second.
Anyone have any good ideas for this?

I am a modding newb, only having done my maverick with the removable cylinder (removed air restrictors, etc.), pennies and stretched spring.
So any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Thanks,
BennyG

Darthrambo installed his own firefly tech into the Pyragon. It can be seen here http://www.nerfmodsr...-reclocked.html

I was thinking of doing something exactly like what you just posted, but I was wondering if, while using slamfire, the discs would be in the light long enough to charge up. Has anyone used this who can comment?

Darthrambo and I also talked about making the pyragon drum firefly, but the idea never got of the ground, due to the fact that we are both very busy, but I think it could work.

I don't know how long it takes to charge up the disks, but I know that the glow darts charge up pretty fast (they are still glowing pretty well while being shot out of a flywheel blaster rather quickly. Nerf probably uses similar chemicals in the darts and disks to achieve the glow, so Id imagine that it would be about the same.

I mounted an led inside my vigilon chamber and I can fire the whole clip in quick succesion and the discs will all be glowing. So mounting in the barrel shouldnt be an issue unless you're firing 10 discs per second.
