So after realizing that Doomsayers just weren't meant to work with stock darts, I singled mine and set out to recreate AssassinNF's old mod for the PAS. I made 2 attempts and they both failed because of ridiculous resistance and friction that I couldn't fix.

So now I wonder, since elite darts don't have the plastic stem in them that made streamlines suck ass, shouldn't it be possible to use them in a hopper, inline clip, or rscb? I figure you can, but after wasting roughly $25 in brass on shitty breeches I was hoping someone had written up a new clip solution for elite darts here recently. I really can't stand to waste more money on unproven ideas (my own ideas) unfortunately. Anyone know of one?

An RSCB will work. You could also modify a tagger hopper for Elites.

Yeah, AssassinNF's thing was pretty much the same as that one. I made two working versions, one with a 17/32" barrel and the other with 9/16"; I could chamber darts and fire them and everything. It just took a lot of strength and the arm attached to the pump grip of the Doomsayer just flexed instead of pulling. The first one I made actually locked up so tight that I couldn't pull it apart. I think maybe I just got a bad set of brass or something because most of it won't slide freely at all.

I'm most interested in a 30 degree homemade wye for a hopper. I think I saw a video once upon a time of someone firing streamlines out of one but I haven't been able to find it since.

Where did you buy your brass from? Not all brass is meant to telescope cleanly, or it may need polishing before it works.

I see no reason why an inline clips doesn't work, but it's so much deadspace with a full length dart.

It sounds to me it's more an issue with your chosen barreling material than the blaster(s) themselves. My Doomsayer can fire stock darts no problem. By deduction, you're using CPVC. Stock darts will always be too tight of a fit in CPVC, no matter what blaster you use (aside from over powered air blasters).

I dunno about other blasters, but I can usually fire streamlines out of my 12" long cpvc-barreled hopper when it's attached to my over-sized rainbow (1.5" PVC, 7" of draw, [k26] spring), even with a 14" - 15" long or so clip. There's often some fishtailing, and occasionally jams in the mid point of the cpvc barrel with the newer darts (due to excessive fiction), but stem or no stem, streamlines can be bent through a standard wye with proper air volume and force behind it, so I can't see why a gentler sloping wye wouldn't work for streamlines with a lower power blaster, assuming you used something a bit more loose than cpvc for the barrel material, such as PETG.

I got the brass from Amazon, type C260. All 4 sizes have the same wall thickness and the smaller pipe (17/32" and 1/2") telescope perfectly. The larger sizes telescope as well, but there is significant resistance, even when rubbed down with WD40.

MiG, I actually used 17/32" brass on the turret originally, but it was a huge pain in the ass to rear load and the rotation mech was still finicky, so I just scrapped it. I'm going to go ahead and try my hand at a <30 degree hopper with a 9/16" brass barrel and tightening rings later; any other ideas would still be greatly appreciated.

HasreadCoC, that is quite a lot of air volume you're putting out there, so it's understandable that it would be able to force out streamlines. However, a RFSG is more akin to a longshot in terms of air output so you need the gentler slope in order for it to feed longer darts into the barrel of a hopper.

Your breech is probably made wrong. Did you use a dremel? If all you did was cut out a opening and hope it works it won't. It needs to be sanded like crazy till it is very smooth and it can't be bent in any way. I made a brass breech like this and I had the same problems till I went out and bought a pack of sandpaper. You can also experiment with some type of lube but it can be weird with brass. Only use a little.

I did try sanding down the inner barrel of the second one I made, and of course I sanded both breeches smooth after cutting the slots out. Also, I was referring to brass fresh from the package that didn't slide with little to no resistance. I think I may have just gotten a bad break on thickness specs honestly.

Adding a hopper to a RFDG is only going to make matters worse. It doesn't have enough air output to effectively use a hopper unless you add a very ridiculous spring combo. your best bet is to simply reattempt the clip breech mod with 9/16 brass. You mnost likely have enough brass left over so you'd really only need a new length for the barrel and sheath.

I am not really sure why people think that regular streamlines wont feed through hoppers. I use stock streamlines at just-for-fun nerf wars out of my hoppered snap carbine and they feed and fire just fine. Elite darts will also feed 100% with a hopper as long as you have a brit-hop.

You can just cut off like half an in. from the back of the dart if you are paranoid about dart feed.
