Its a regular first gen firefly, and it appears to be solvent welded or something in the rear of the stock. It's four post inside that are fastening it together.

EDIT: figured it out. I slammed a razor blade in from the outside and hit it with a hammer till it went through the peg.

anyone have any clue how to open it? I tried to pull it apart and pulled as hard I could without fear of cracking the shell.

As a last resort take a hobby knife and cut the four posts. Problem solved.

Ive been trying to, but it doesnt open far enough, and the Inside is too small for me to get my hand in enough to cut them

If you have a smaller saw blade handy, you could use that. In the past, I've used the saw blade on my Leatherman to get through the back part of the shell. The firefly is definitely a pain though. good luck!

Just pry it open so the posts crack then once you are done you epoxy both ends of the posts then clamp it.
