Hey guys, did a quick mod of my new RoughCut. Added a Raider/Rampage foregrip, and the modification is easily reversible. Check out my blog for a full writeup: TroubleShooting Fish in a Barrel


I also did a quick experiment with changing out the AR Springs. I figured that a softer spring would let more air through the barrel before shutting and sending air to the next one... Not quite. I tried this with Hyperfire AR Springs (because I had a crap-load of them) and it results in a lot of the second dart popping out. It MAY also have to do with plugging the "barrel holes", but I don't have any hard proof of any of this.

Sorry, I was just lazy. I had posted it on mine before I thought to post here, so linked instead of copying and re-formatting. I'll edit that first part when I get home tonight.

In other news, The plastic in those areas was too soft/thin and started to buckle after a few shots and the AR spring just plain didn't work. Raider handle needs re-inforcing and Stock AR springs will be put back...

What about the weaker AR springs didnt work?

Cool experiment with the AR springs, too bad it didn't work out. The raider priming handle doesn't look good on the rough cut in my opinion, but your mod is really clean and modded rough cuts are rare. It's good to see some one doing something with this blaster.

How do you plan on reinforcing the handle? Filling it with epoxy putty might do the trick, but that would be a lot of putty.

Based on the writeup, I doubt the handle will need much reinforcement. If he does, he will use e-putty, but he won't have to fill the handle, he can just put a few dollops over the parts of the shell he cut.

Not an excuse. I've removed the link to your blog post. In the future, you are welcome to post photos of your mods in the Modifications and Paintjobs thread pinned in this forum, or you can post a full writeup in it's own thread. There's no rule against linking your blog, but you can't substitute an off-site link for a full writeup.
