Hello nerfhaven!
I have just found an awesome surprise! Mcmaster-carr is now selling schedule 40 pvc wyes! I just ordered some for my PAC and might review them when I receive them. Mcmaster has sold wyes in the past but they cost like 6 bucks and they weren't schedule 40. It does say they ship within 2 weeks, but I'll see. I believe this new product came around when they updated their website. LInk: http://www.mcmaster....ttings/=lesvvy. Considering that I think mcmaster and flexpvc.com (where most people get schedule 40 wyes) have the same plastic pipe suppliers, mcmasters wyes wil probably be the same as basically everyone else's.

Hmm, nice price, certainly worth throwing 1 or 2 into your cart if you need wyes and are making a McMaster order anyway.

Good find! Though, these cost thirty-three cents more than FlexPVC charges; so this is only a better deal if you are already placing a McMaster order, because you'll save on shipping.
Also, FlexPVC is not the best retailer of wyes. PexSupply carries Spears brand wyes for eighty-four cents, which is thirty-four cents lower than FlexPVC and sixty seven cents below McMaster.

The one big problem with spears though is that the shipping is horrendous.
It's like $10.45 for 1-5 wyes!

Great find man!

That's what will call is for,
you can simply pick up the wyes at Mcmaster Carr's distribution center, free of shipping charges.

Besides, the shipping charges aren't any better than flexpvc's, which you definitely have no choice to pay for.

That's what role call is for,

It's 'will call'. And the advantage is you can get a couple rolls of felt pads and some washers, or something else you need, and throw in a wye.

I have known about this for a while.

Congratulations.
Also, thanks for not sharing that with anyone else, that was super thoughtful of you.

On-topic, I live near a warehouse and McMaster usually ships to me next-day, would I still have to wait the 2 weeks? Do you think they would have them in stock if I drove there?

My brother owns a plumbing company and when I contacted many of the large PVC parts manufactures they would only sell in large bulk orders and it simply was not worth it. I did not have the money for them and didnt have the need for 75+ fittings.

I know that flex pvc wyes are cheaper but isn't their shipping horrendously high?

I have known about this for a while.

How did you know about it , or are you getting mixed up with the schedule 80 ones?

FlexPVC has changed, it now has a US presence so you no longer need to pay international shipping. However, they still usually don't give you an accurate quote until you check out. They've also got some strange shipping rules and policies on their FAQ page that either aren't true or are never enforced in the real world. I've ordered wyes from FlexPVC before so I know they're legit, but their shipping dept is…unusually paranoid.

McMaster would be a better deal if you're a northeastern nerfer. I usually get things in 1 day. If you're going to pay marginally more in base price and about the same for shipping, take the closer shipping origin.
