I am trying to open up my supermaxx5k.There is a purple "cap" by the white pump handle .Please reply if you know how to pull it off as it is keeping me from opening the gun.I can email you a picture if you want just ask.Thanks

I took a flathead screwdiver, put it in between the two surfaces, and pushed. I also made a large cut in my finger, but I got it off.

thanks,on a scale of 1-10 how hard was it to mod and how far does yours go and how did you do it

Uh regarding hard-ness of mod, scale of one to ten I give it a 6. Not too hard, but involves alot of dremeling. My sm5k is 4-barreled, and gets about the same range as a single barreled one, albeit it needs one more pump to achieve that. Around 110-115 I think.

I did a tank relocation, bolt action brass barrel, and pump plugging. It took me about 12 hours in all, but I've put more into improvments.

I get 135' usually, on 5 pumps.

Yes, use a flat head screwdriver, and don't put the cap back on... it's just a hinderance.

Good luck with your mod, if you need help, check out my site for help. It hasn't been updated in a few months, but it will get you started. Try Cx's mod too... although his isn't as indepth as mine.

Ooo bolt action... Nice... yeah, with 4 pumps you'll get my ranges, with 5 you'll get his. I do 5 now so I can keep the same range as a single with 4. Sm5k's are really nice guns. I used an AT2k turret for mine- it takes alot of glue to keep it stable, but it works well.
