I have been wondering (as I'm sure many others have) what the "Featured Sales Threads" subforum is for?
It has been around for a few months, and not a single thing has been posted there.

Ive been wondering too. It could possibly be a thread for sales going on at certain places. Im not sure but its a possibility.

The featured sales thread section was set up to accomodate those who strive to help the community through bulk supplies, or prepared work. The idea is that a person would have a featured sales thread if they had a constant supply of one (or several) things that they could keep in stock for purchasing whenever. Examples of the stuff that the moderation staff would like to "feature" include the Mostly Harmless Arms pink foam, bulk batches of Ryan's homemades, and things of that nature. The problem is that, at this time, nothing anyone has done (except with the maybe exceptions of Ryan, Kane, and Venom) is what we would like to feature.
Eventually, there will be an application/review process to allow a thread to be moved into the featured sales subforum. Do not ask me about it, because JLego and I still need to write it up formally and your frequency of request is inversely proportional to my willingness to do anything for you.
