I understand that the Rayven elite gets almost twice the range of the N-strike version. I was wondering if anyone has both and can tell me if there is anything obviously different with the internals.

it's called a "rayven" not "rayvan"

My understanding is that the range difference is not quite so dramatic.

It has the new Elite Flywheels in it, just like the Stryfe. And it's a little louder than the N-Strike Rayven. And the barrel is probably has a spiral rifling just like all the other new Elite blasters, which doesn't affect anything. And the mag has a brighter LED and it has more lights (1 on top like normal, and the 2nd a little below it). And the darts are Elite darts, but made with the glow foam.
Yes, I know, 'some of you were born yesterday, not today.' I was just stating to those who don't know.

I just received mine yesterday. As Daniel Beaver said, the range increase over the old version is not that great. The other Elite Flywheel blasters such as the Hail-Fire and the Stryfe seem to be firing much harder than my Elite Rayven. I'm not sure if I got a lemon or they're all like this.

But it was nice to see Elite darts made with the glow foam. Hopefully they sell 100 packs of the glow foam Elite darts soon.

It's actually straight, just like the first Rayven. I was surprised to see this, even though it doesn't do anything at all. Heh.

On the other hand, the guy who posted before me used the word 'fuck' a lot so he probably knows what he's talking about.

Oh, duh. Just now thought of it. The Elite Rayven was just a re-paint of the old Rayven with a Elite motor. They didn't change anything else.

Nerf seems to be quite good at that. Their CEO probably says, "hey its bunch O' little kids, make it Mil-sim styled, make a new shell, new paint, and give a "KOOL" name, and say its ALL NEW!!!"

Thanks for the responses. I must have gotten bad info from someone who felt bad about tossing money down for a more expensive version of basically the same thing. I was looking at a elite Reyvan today and it doesn’t even have the pointless rifling. I guess I'll get the N-Strike version.
